Membership

Anyone is welcome to apply to become a member of Civitas.

To be considered, a prospective member must be officially sponsored by a member in good standing of the Society. This member should send an e-mail to the President, at civitas@civitascanada.ca, with the person's name and e-mail address.

The prospective member will receive an application form. They will then submit the following information:

Full name, postal address, telephone, fax and e-mail, as well as a brief bio and a digital photo.

Once their application file is complete, it will be circulated to the Board of Directors for their approval. If that approval is forthcoming, the prospective member is notified. Once they pay their annual membership dues (As of 1 October 2007, $65 & $35 for students), they become members in good standing of the society.
